lose you, part I

February 1981

Ninette Dupont is 24 (Mavise Dupont is 53, Fabrice Roux is 27, Saber Girad is 25)

Sometimes she has those moments when she's feeling dizzy and she just has to lay down,  close her eyes and try to clear her mind. She hates feeling lazy but she has no other choice right now. Worries flood her head and even though she tells them to leave they refuse.

'Curse you Ninette Dupont,'  she whispers, 'it was all your fault, your fault for doing anything out of the ordinary, your fault for searching that thrill'. She lays her hand over her chest and lets her tears break free. She quickly stops them. 'Now you have to deal with it all by yourself'.

She washes her face and picks up the phone. She dials her parents' number but no one answers. 'I'll just call them later.' She thinks. Ninette didn't ever deal with her problems without her mother's help and now's no time to start. She pours herself a glass of water and sits down by the phone.

What seemed like hours later Ninette hears the phone ring. It's her mother. 'Mom, I did something horrible!' Ninette says. She starts mumbling and crying to the phone until she stops herself again. She wants to look at her watch but she doesn't have it on, she's still in her pajamas. A few minutes later she hangs up.

She knows what her options are right now, and she doesn't like either one. She could rip the band aid or pull it slowly for her whole life, and Ninette isn't one to waste time, but she can't pick herself up from the sofa.

Ninette takes the phone and dials a number. 'Hey, I'm gonna need you to come'.

A few hours later when she's already dressed and waiting she hears the doorbell ring.

'Oh hi, come in.' Ninette says when she opens the door. 'I didn't expect you both to be here at the same time. I called both of you but I didn't think you'd arrive at the same time.' She says when she lets them both in. She can sense the awkwardness and confusion they both feel and has a sudden urge to scratch her neck. 'Well, never mind. What I have to say I have to say to both of you.'

'You can sit here.' Saber is the first to catch his seat on the sofa and Fabrice does the same once he's done. 'I called you here because I have something serious to tell you.' She pauses, 'I guess I should just say it, right?' They both just seem confused.

She's kind of confused herself, but she has to say it. 'There's no easy way for me to say this. I don't want to lose you.' She starts crying.

title is lose you by peaches
this video inspired the last scene but the video is kind of weird after the talking scene

  1. This was great! I can't wait to see what she has to say and what happens afterwards! The photos look really great, I can't pick a favorite but the laying on the bed one is one of them. What photo did you take lots of for the perfect shot?

  2. Maisie, thank you so much! I already took all the photos so it probably won't take too long for me to post the 2nd part, but the connections between the scenes are still a little rough and I want it to turn out well :)

The photos on her bed are also some of my favorites, I abused the hell out of the depression pose box! I can't remember exactly but I think that the first one on the bed or the one where she's sitting and talking on the phone. I wanted her to sit but I couldn't figure out how to do that so I put her on a lower OMSP and she's actually standing there! :D

  3. The pics were really great! They really displayed her confusion and disappoint well. I can't wait to see what she says to them. I think the couch pose was my favorite.

  5. Mizzgin03, thanks! I got really lucky with the couch shot because I only took one picture for that!

I can't wait for you to hear what she says to them ;)

Shana, thanks! I really like those poses as well, most of them are from the depression box which I don't remember where I got (I really should start keeping track of those things!).

As I said to Mizzgin03, I can't wait for you guys to hear what she says :P

  6. This really drew me in! I have my suspicions about what she might want to say but I don't know your characters well enough yet to say for sure. So I'll just wait and see. :)

  7. Now I really need to know what she's going to tell them. I have such a soap opera mind that I immediately thinks she's pregnant and doesn't know who the father is. DRAMA, lol

  8. Carla, well, that was the whole point of splitting it to two parts! It wasn't the length that bothered me, I just felt that this scene is the perfect 'to be continued' scene :P

Nikki, it definitely will be dramatic! And LOL, I'm with you on that soap opera mind :D
